Ongoing dispute will keep Montreal container terminals closed

The ongoing industrial dispute between the container terminal operators and longshoremen at Canada’s east coast port in in Montreal means that there will be no operations taking place there until 1 August.

German liner company Hapag-Lloyd has advised its customers that “due to on-going difficulties, MGT [Montréal Gateway Terminals] and Termont Terminals in Montreal have both announced that there will be no operations on Friday 31 July.”
