Crane collapse at Hindustan Shipyard in India kills ten people

A newly built crane has collapsed in Hindustan Shipyard (HSL) in Visakhapatnam, India, during the load testing, killing ten workers.

Times of India reported that the incident occurred on 1 August in the afternoon during testing before the commissioning of the crane. The crane has a capacity of 70t and has a height of 100ft.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the cause of the accident is negligence.
