The German liner operator, Hapag-Lloyd is in ongoing discussions for the acquisition of 10 container ships with 13,000TEU capacity each, enhancing further its total container capacity.
“We can confirm that we are in ongoing negotiations about ten 13,000TEU vessels,” a Hapag-Lloyd spokesperson told Container News.
The German carrier will add conventionally-powered scrubber-fitted boxships, ordered by Greek ship owners Capital Ship Management and Chartworld, according to Alphaliner.
