A new terminal will be built in the port of Damietta, Egypt, by a joint venture that has been formed specifically to develop and operate the new Terminal 2 in the port. The Damietta Alliance Container Terminals been established by three partners, Hapag-Lloyd Damietta (39%), Eurogate Damietta (29.5%) and Contship Damietta (29.5%). Two other partners, Middle East Logistics & Consultants Group and Ship & C.R.E.W. Egypt, will each hold 1%.
