Seaspan Shipyards has awarded ABB a contract to deliver an integrated propulsion system for the first of the Canadian Coast Guard’s new-generation polar class icebreakers.

Since ABB secured its first Azipod propulsion order for the Carnival Cruise Line ship Carnival Elation in 1995, Carnival Corporation has gone on to specify Azipod propulsion for more than 40 vessels in its various cruise brands. FERRIES 2021: Bringing the Norwegian experience to U.S. ferry operators

Marine Log‘s FERRIES 2021 conference is scheduled to kickoff in just over a month for the first in-person ferry event in over 18 months.

The event will take place November 9-10 on the New York Harbor waterfront in Jersey City, N.J., in partnership with the Passenger Vessel Association. As its theme says, “The ferry industry is poised to rebound in 2022.”
