A 70-foot cargo vessel out of Tiverton and a 605-foot tanker collided Monday about 25 nautical miles south of Martha’s Vineyard, reports South Coast Today.

Station Menemsha responded to a collision between a tanker and a cargo vessel on the night of 27th January, roughly 27 miles off the Vineyard. A mayday came into Sector Southeastern New England at 8:10 pm, according to Petty Officer Ryan Noel.

Cargo Ship Crashes Into Cliff off Sardinia, Crew Evacuated

An Italy-flagged cargo ship ran aground off the coast of south-western Sardinia after encountering rough weather on December 21, 2019, reports BBC.

The 8,100 dwt vessel, identified as Cdry Blue, was hit by strong waves and crashed into a cliff in Torre Cannai, Sant’Antioco.

At the time of the incident, the multipurpose ship was en route from Cagliari, Italy, to Alicante, Spain, with twelve crew members on board.

Drunk Cargo Ship Captain Bumps Vessel into Bridge

According to Korean Herald, On February 28, a Russian cargo ship veered off course and bumped into a bridge off the southeast coast of South Korea.

What happened?

The Russian cargo vessel was manned by a drunk captain who bumped into the bridge. The Korea Coast Guard (KCG) said the 5,998-ton Seagrand sailed into the side of the Gwangan Bridge at around 4:20 p.m. before turning back to head in the opposite direction.
