DCE Rallies on Delayed Steel Uptick

  • Active iron ore contract in DCE rose by 2.09% on-day at RMB 634.50 per tonne.
  • Steel rebar futures in Shanghai Futures Exchange also increased by 1.21% on-day to RMB 3,344 per tonne.
  • The higher steel output was due to the end of the production restriction of Tangshan which immediately prompted an uptick in DCE.

Chinese wind power company to construct $1b LNG terminal

Chinese Suntien Green Energy Co. Ltd, a wind power producer and piped gas distributor, plans to develop a $1 billion liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal in north China by end-2022, after its investment plans won state approval, Reuters reports.
