HHLA commissions hybrid straddle carriers at Port of Hamburg

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik (HHLA) has commissioned the operation of its first hybrid straddle carrier prototypes at the Port of Hamburg in Germany.

The two new Konecranes Noell Straddle Carriers are deployed at HHLA Container Terminal Tollerort (CTT). They will be used to move containers between ship, yard, rail terminal and the truck gate at the terminal.

Moss Maritime and partners develop LH2 bunker vessel design

Norway-based Moss Maritime, Equinor, Wilhelmsen and DNV-GL have developed a new design for a liquefied hydrogen (LH2) bunker vessel.

The design has been developed as part of a project sponsored by Innovation Norway.

It aims to address challenges and explore solutions for storage and handling of hydrogen and fuel on a vessel.
