Baltic Hub kicks off construction of new box terminal

Baltic Hub, formerly known as DCT Gdańsk, the operator of the largest container terminal in the Baltic Sea, announced the start of construction of its third deep-water Terminal – T3 on 28 November.

When fully completed in the second quarter of 2025, the new terminal will have a 717-meter-long and 17.5 meter deep quay wall and will be able to handle the largest container vessels in the world.

METRANS Launches New Intra-Europe Container Rail Service

The first container train of METRANS’s new service from Ostrava, Czech Republic arrived at the Polish container shipping terminal DCT Gdansk on 6 September 2022, reports Container News.

DCT Gdansk selects contractors for T3 expansion project

DCT Gdańsk (Poland), the operator of the largest container terminal complex on the Baltic Sea, has signed a contract for the construction of the third deepwater terminal, known as T3. The contract is signed with a consortium of Budimex and Dredging International and work is scheduled to begin in September.

The T3 project will include a 717-metre-long, 17.5-metre-deep deepwater quay and a yard area of 36,5000 m².

DCT Gdansk achieves new container record

DCT Gdansk, the largest container terminal on the Baltic Sea, set a new record in container traffic in March, by handling 206,645 TEU, and surpassing the previous record set in January 2020 by more than 9%.

DCT Gdańsk completes rail expansion

Deepwater Container Terminal Gdańsk (DCT), the Polish rail-based container terminal, has completed its rail expansion to an annual rail capacity of 750,000 TEU.
