DHL opens new distribution center in US

DHL eCommerce, a division of DHL Group, opened a fully-owned 28,520 m² distribution center in Hebron, Kentucky, 10 minutes from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).

German logistics giant Deutsche Post-DHL is set to report record financial results for 2020, “fuelled by an extremely dynamic peak season”.

Deutsche Post DHL posts solid third-quarter results

Deutsche Post DHL Group (NASDAQ:DPSGY) Tuesday posted a 4.4% year-on-year increase in group revenue to US$19.1 billion, with “organic” revenue up 9% after adjusting for a gain in the quarter from currency fluctuations.

The Bonn, Germany-based transport and logistics giant posted third-quarter earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of $1.62 billion, up 46% from the year-earlier period. Diluted earnings per share grew nearly 49% to 79 cents per share, the company said.

Mesa Airlines makes first cargo flight for DHL

Mesa Air Group (NASDAQ: MESA), a regional carrier for American Airlines and United Airlines, announced it operated its first revenue-generating cargo flight for DHL Express on Monday from its hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Cargo is a new line of business for Mesa, which is operating two Boeing 737-400 converted freighters under a five-year contract with the express delivery company. The second aircraft is scheduled to enter service in November.
