Sada el-Balad, an Egyptian broadcaster, has announced that Egypt’s National Navigational Company has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the owners of Ever Given.

Per the broadcaster, the enterprise seeks compensation, claiming to have experienced massive losses as its Wadi Sudr vessel was incapable of carrying on with its voyage due owing to the incident that happened with Ever Given. Ever Given docks in Qingdao for repairs until late October

The famous 20,000TEU container ship, Ever Given, which blocked the Suez Canal for around a week in March disrupting the global supply chain, has reached east China’s coastal city of Qingdao, docking at a port’s yard on Monday, 4 October.

The vessel, which was mainly damaged in the bow, will undergo repairs for more than 20 days in a shipyard of Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd and it is expected to restart operations in late October.
