“MSC ALTAMIRA” omitted South America ports

Due to operational issues, MV “MSC ALTAMIRA” (voyage MM909A) omitted the ports of Salvador and Itapoa in order to support schedule recovery.

According to a statement, all import bookings on board this vessel with destination Salvador will be discharged at Rio de Janeiro and all cargoes with destination Itapoa will be discharged at Paranagua, to be connected onto a vessel still to be nominated.

Hapag-Lloyd container ship suffers fuel spill at New York Terminal

Fuel leak from container ship berthed at Global Marine New York Container Terminal in Staten Island was detected in the afternoon March 28. Oil was leaking from Hapag-Lloyd’s vessel “Dublin Express”. The ship’s hole was 40×40 centimeters.

The emergency staff and the Coast Guard were called immediately, in order to stop the leakage and prevent the sea pollution.

According to the company’s executive, there was strong weather and heavy storms in NY terminal.

Fire-damaged boxes off the Yantian Express, but shippers must wait for intact cargo

All damaged containers have now been unloaded from the fire-stricken Yantian Express, Hapag-Lloyd and Ocean Network Express (ONE) have advised shippers.
