First LPG cargo from Ichthys LNG project arrives in Japan

K Line’s large gas carrier ‘Grace River’ has carried and discharged Ichthys LNG Project’s first LPG cargo carried to Japan, according to the company’s statement. The cargo was imported by Astomos Energy Corporation at Kyushu L.P.G. Fukushima Terminal, on January 23.

Specifically, Ichthys LNG Project is the first large-scale LNG project by global standards operated by INPEX CORPORATION.

NYK tanker ships first plant condensate from Ichthys LNG project

Challenge Peak, an oil products tanker operated by Singapore-based NYK Bulkship (Asia) Pte. Ltd., has shipped the first batch of plant condensate produced at the onshore gas liquefaction plant of the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project.

The condensate was loaded from the gas liquefaction plant in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, and the vessel departed for an Asian country on 26 December, NYK informed.

Australia becomes world’s largest LNG exporter

Australia became the world’s largest exporter of LNG, for the first time in November, as it surpassed Qatar. This comes after the beginning of several export projects in the country over the past three years, such as the Ichthys LNF project off Australia’s northern coast.

INPEX informed that it opened the onshore LNG processing facilities of Ichthys LNG. This project aims to meet increasing LNG demand in Japan and will contribute to the Australian way of life.

Australia set to become world’s biggest exporter of LNG

Australia is on its way to become the world’s biggest exporter of LNG, according to the energy economics group EnergyQuest, informing in its latest monthly report that total Australian LNG shipments were significantly higher in October at 6.4 million tonnes (Mt) –up 10.3% on 5.8 Mt in September.

INPEX starts LNG shipment from Ichthys LNG Project

The INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project started shipment of LNG as the first shipment left the onshore gas liquefaction plant in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, heading to the INPEX-operated Naoetsu LNG Terminal in Niigata Prefecture, Japan.

First condensate cargo from Ichthys LNG project departs

Japanese INPEX Corporation announced the departure of its first shipment of condensate from the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project.
