Construction on a new 32-meter passenger ferry, designed by Incat Crowther for Western Australian ferry operator Rottnest Fast Ferries, has commenced at Austal Philippines. The new ferry will operate on the popular Perth to Rottnest Island tourism route.

Yankee Freedom orders new Dry Tortugas ferry

Key West, Fla.-based Yankee Freedom has ordered a new 300-passenger, high-speed catamaran ferry from Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding, Duclos Corporation for passenger service between Key West and the Dry Tortugas National Park. The new Dry Tortugas ferry will replace Yankee Freedom III, a 250-passenger catamaran built for the 70-mile run by the Somerset, Mass., shipyard in 2012.

St. Johns Ship Building delivers first of three Windea CTVs

St. Johns Ship Building, Palatka, Fla., reports that it has delivered the Windea Courageous, the first of three Incat Crowther 30 meter Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) ordered by Windea CTV, LLC, a partnership of Hornblower Wind and MidOcean Wind.
