U.S. Navy Ship Righted

On Tuesday, two tugs successfully manoeuvred the Petrel, a US Navy vessel that had tipped over in a dry dock in Edinburgh on March 22, to afloat in Imperial Dock in Leith, as reported by BBC.

4 shippers under investigation by Coast Guard at Port of LA

The Coast Guard worked with port partners to identify shipping containers with undeclared hazardous materials following a container fire at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

At approximately 8:20 p.m. PST on March 4, watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach received a report of a shipping container on fire. The container was due to be loaded on a vessel sailing for China on March 10.

FTC extends deadline for public comment on supply chain disruptions

The Federal Trade Commission said Friday it is extending by 30 days the deadline for retailers, consumer goods suppliers, wholesalers and consumers to submit voluntary comments as part of the agency’s inquiry into supply chain disruptions. The new deadline is Feb. 28.
