Quadrise and MSC partner on trials of low carbon fuels
Quadrise has entered a framework agreement with MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company’s 100% subsidiary, MSC Shipmanagement Limited of Cyprus, for the testing of lower-carbon fuels on one or more container vessels.
As part of the deal, proof-of-concept (POC) tests and subsequent operational trials will be conducted using both bioMSAR and MSAR fuel on one or more container ships.
These tests are expected to support the commercial use of the fuels by MSC’s global fleet.

Navios Maritime to purchase 36-vessel drybulk fleet
Dry cargo and tanker vessels operator Navios Maritime Partners (Navios Partners) has agreed to buy a 36-strong drybulk fleet from Navios Maritime Holdings (Navios Holdings) for $835m.
The consideration includes the assumption of $441.6m of bank liabilities and bareboat obligations, as well as finance leasing obligations.
Having a total capacity of 3.9 million deadweight tonnage (dwt) and average age of 9.6 years, the acquired fleet includes 26 owned vessels and ten chartered-in vessels.
