Metrans to construct new terminal hub in Hungary

The intermodal transport company Metrans aims to expand its network and will invest US$47.1 million in the construction of a new hub terminal in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary.

The first foundations for the project were laid on 9 September, while the total cost for the hub construction includes support from the Hungarian government as well as from Hungarian institutions amounting to approximately US$13 million.

Value Maritime to install CCS unit on operational vessel in October

Dutch company Value Maritime is set to install an on-board CO₂ capture and storage unit on Visser Shipping’s Nordica vessel next month.

To be operated by X-Press Feeders, Nordica is said to be the first vessel to capture and store CO₂ on board while in operation.

Hapag-Lloyd adds 33 vessels to Inmarsat Fleet Xpress contract
