Canadian trucker named Highway Angel for helping spinout victims

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has named Karl Scholl, from Calgary, Alberta, a Highway Angel for stopping to help a couple who landed in a ditch during icy road conditions.

Public invited to vote for TCA’s Highway Angel of the Year

For the first time, the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) is letting the public vote for its Highway Angel of the Year. The association is allowing online voting on which of the three finalists TCA, along with presenting sponsor EpicVue and supporting sponsor DriverFacts, will choose as the 2021 Highway Angel of the Year.

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has posthumously recognized Adam “Troy” Miller, 53, of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Ashish Patel, 46, of Ontario, Canada, as Highway Angels for stopping to help at the scene of a serious accident last summer.

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has named Demetrius Fields a Highway Angel. Fields, an Atlanta resident, stopped to help a family after their vehicle spun out in the middle of a busy highway during a severe winter storm.
