CHINESE chip production factories have expanded their share of the global market through increasing revenues during the ongoing chip shortage, reports Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post, Maintaining their position as the fifth largest global foundry by revenue, China’s Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC), increased its market share quarter to quarter by one per cent to five per cent, according to a report by Taiwan market intelligence firm TrendForce
