Chinese developer Goldwind and the Danish shipping behemoth Maersk have signed the largest-ever green methanol offtake deal.
The agreement, a significant turning point for the world’s shipping sector, will power 12 of Maersk’s large, methanol-enabled ships that are currently being ordered.
According to the agreement, Maersk will receive half a million tons of green methanol per year from Goldwind, which will be produced by combining green bio-methanol and e-methanol.
