Australia’s defence shipbuilder Austal Ltd. reported in an exchange filing that it had secured a $516 million deal to build the lead vessel of the US Navy’s ocean surveillance mission, T-AGOS 25.
The deal, declared on May 19, was for $113.9 million for an exclusive design of the US Navy’s Tactical Auxiliary General Ocean Surveillance Ship (T-AGOS 25 Class), with many options to design and build up to seven such vessels.
