U.S Opens Gaza Aid Pier After 2-week Repair, Plans to Increase Flow of Humanitarian Aid Underway

On June 8, at approximately 10:30 a.m. (per Gaza time), the US Central Command (abbreviated as the US Centcom) initiated the delivery of humanitarian aid ashore in Gaza.

About 492 metric tons of much-needed humanitarian aid was delivered to the people in Gaza via the repaired pier.

To date, the US Centcom has supported the delivery of over 1,573 metric tons of humanitarian aid.

No US military personnel has gone ashore in Gaza.
