The board of directors of Austal USA has named Michelle Kruger president of Austal USA, where she has been serving as interim president since August 2023.

Kruger joined Austal USA in 2022 as the vice president of global services and support. Austal USA delivers first Flight II EPF

Austal USA has formally handed over the first Flight II EPF, USNS Cody (EPF 14), to the U.S. Navy, with representatives from both parties signing the official delivery documentation onboard the ship.

Austal USA wins $867.6 million order for three Expeditionary Medical Ships

Austal USA, Mobile, Ala., has been awarded an $867,666,667 modification to a previously awarded U.S. Navy contract (N00024-19-C-2227) for the detail design, and construction of three Expeditionary Medical Ships, an Expeditionary Fast Transport variant.

Work is expected to complete by May 2030. Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Austal USA gets $156 million award to build two more T-ATS

Austal Limited (ASX:ASB) reports that its Austal USA subsidiary has been awarded a $156,171,650 fixed-price incentive contract option from the United States Navy for the construction of two Navajo-class Towing, Salvage, and Rescue Ships (T-ATS 13 and 14).

With the award, the Mobile. Ala., company is now under contract for four T-ATS, having received awards for T-ATS 11 and 12 in October 2021. It started construction on the first of these on July 11.
