Wabash Q3 profits rise as revenue falls

A favorable product mix and strong results from parts and services, tanks and truck bodies helped Wabash post solid third-quarter earnings while dry van sales fell as consumer spending on goods slowed.

Suez Canal Finally Reopens After Giant Stranded Ship Freed

The extensive backlog caused after the Ever Given shipping container got stuck in the Suez Canal is set to finally come to an end.
SCA officials said the last ships that were stranded after the massive vessel would pass through today.
Osama Rabie, the chairman of the SCA, said 85 ships that were delayed due to the crisis were set to pass through the canal on both sides.

News alert: November Class 8 orders third-highest ever

Preliminary Class 8 truck orders posted their third-highest number in history in November, continuing a stunning comeback from pandemic-depressed bookings earlier in the year.

Preliminary net North American Class 8 orders in November were 51,900 units, up 33% from October and 197% higher than November a year ago, ACT Research reported.

FTR Transportation Intelligence pegged net orders slightly higher at 52,600.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2019, Conrad had a net loss of $307,000 and loss per diluted share of $0.06 compared to net income of $586,000 and earnings per diluted share of $0.12 during the first quarter of 2018.
