INTERTANKO Outbreak Management Plan for COVID-19

INTERTANKO issued an Outbreak Management Plan, outlining plans and procedures to be put in place to prepare a ship for shore personnel to come onboard and to protect seafarers from the dangers of COVID-19. This includes potential exposure from shore personnel and the actions to take in the event of a suspected case onboard.

Indian Ocean MoU: Guidance for dealing with COVID-19

The Indian Ocean MoU authorities have agreed to adopt pragmatic guidance, understanding necessity to deal with crucial circumstances (such as extending periods of service onboard of seafarers, delaying periods for surveys, inspections and audits, etc. as necessary) amid the COVID-19 pandemic. AMSA: Retain garbage onboard and dispose of onshore

AMSA has circulated a sticker aiming to urge crews and passengers onboard ships to responsibly separate their garbage onboard so that each type of waste can be recycled or disposed of appropriately onshore.

Port of Marseille, Costa Group partner for sustainable operations

The Port of Marseille Fos and Costa Group, shake their hands and inked an agreement in order to fund a study and develop new technological practices for sustainable cruise operations. Department of State’s Travel issues coronavirus advisory
