EGA joins global shipping and maritime sustainability initiative

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has become the first aluminium producer, and the first Middle East company, to join the Sea Cargo Charter. Bulk fertiliser opportunities explored by AD Ports

Great Eastern buys and sells

India’s Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has contracted to buy a medium range (MR) product tanker of about 46,197 dwt The 2008-built vessel is expected to join the company’s fleet in the third quarter go the 2024 financial year.

The company’s current fleet stands at 42 vessels, comprising 28 tankers and 14 dry bulk carriers with a combined capacity of 3.33 million dwt. GE Shipping says its current capacity utilisation is close to 100%.
