Dutchie, a cannabis fulfillment platform, announced Tuesday it raised $200 million in Series C funding and acquired two technology providers.

A garbage truck hauling waste from Canada became the latest commercial vehicle busted with marijuana hidden in its cargo as part of a rise in drug seizures at the U.S. border.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers found 418 pounds of marijuana in 15 trash bags after stopping the waste hauler after it crossed the Ambassador Bridge into Detroit on June 19, officials said on Monday, June 21.

Over 1 ton of cannabis seized in Piraeus

Greece’s Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE) announced on January 23 that it seized 1.2 tonnes of processed cannabis inside a container at the port of Piraeus, according to national media’s reports.

Authorities believe the container came from the Maltese-flagged freighter Cartagena Trader, which left Beirut on 21 December 2019 and was heading to Misrata, Libya, ekathimerini reports.

Morocco seizes over 4 tons of cannabis

The Moroccan police seized on Tuesday 4.4 tons of cannabis at the northern port of Tangier-Med, it said in a statement.

The banned substance was concealed in an international transport truck and the driver of the Morocco-registered vehicle, who was heading for Europe, was arrested, it added.

On Monday, 8.83 tons of cannabis was seized at the same port, concealed in an international transport truck.
