Norsepower’s Rotor Sail Solution receives design type approval

Norsepower’s auxiliary wind propulsion system Rotor Sail Solution has received a design type approval certificate from DNV GL.

DNV GL issued the approval assessing a design of Norsepower’s 30m by 5m Rotor Sail, two of which have been installed on-board the Maersk Pelican LR2 tanker.

The certification means that vessels operating the Rotor Sail Solution will be able to safely navigate operational and environmental situations.

ABB and GNV complete chiller optimisation project for La Suprema ferry

ABB and Italian shipping company Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) have completed the first chiller optimisation project for the La Suprema ferry.
