Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM), a cooperative chassis pool manager, launched a new, expanded office in Savannah, US in order to accommodate the growing South Atlantic Chassis Pool (SACP) 3.0 team.

Southeast ports and carriers agree to upgrade chassis pool

Career Tracks: TRAC taps industry veteran Forster to lead FYX

TRAC Intermodal has appointed Kenneth Forster as chief executive officer at FYX Fleet Roadside Assistance effective Feb. 8. 

FYX, a TRAC subsidiary, is a provider of emergency fleet services for the intermodal and over-the-road trucking industries.

FMC assigns truckers’ chassis compliant to administrative law judges

The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has assigned to its Office of Administrative Law Judges (ALJ) a complaint from the American Trucking Associations’ Intermodal Motor Carriers Conference (IMCC) alleging massive overcharges for container chassis use in recent years.

The FMC received the complaint from the association on Aug. 17.

FMCSA approves ‘performance-based’ chassis inspection training

The U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) this week approved an industry association’s application that will allow container chassis mechanics to qualify more efficiently to become equipment or brake inspectors.
