Surveyors and salvors on board as Maersk Eindhoven arrives at Yokohama

Maersk has confirmed that the 13,200 Maersk Eindhoven, which last week lost 260 containers overboard, is on course for the APM Terminals facility in Yokohama, for repairs.
“Maersk Eindhoven is currently in Japanese waters, awaiting clearance for transit into APM Terminals Yokohama on 25 February,” an advisory from the carrier said, explaining that the next three days in Japan are a public holiday.

Maersk Line today confirmed that 260 containers had been lost overboard from the Maersk Eindhoven this week on the Pacific.

Cargo ship contacted embankment and containers fell overboard, Hong Kong, reports Maritime Bulletin.

What happened?

Cargo ship KAM SHUN 338 with cargo of containers ran onto Stonecutters Island embankment, Hong Kong, early in the morning Oct 23. 

According to reports, 5 containers went overboard and recovery operation is underway.

APL England master charged following loss of containers

The master of the APL England has been charged in Australia following the loss of 50 containers from the ship.
