Biden administration pauses new LNG export project permitting

Citing climate crisis concerns, the Biden Administration today announced a temporary pause on pending approvals of liquefied natural gas (LNG) export projects.

New Louisiana LNG project to employ carbon capture technology

Venture Global LNG is to invest more than $10 billion in a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Cameron Parish, La., that will employ carbon capture and sequestration technology (CCS) to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Named CP2, the new facility will have a nameplate capacity of 20 million metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG.
