Dachser buys European food logistics provider

German logistics firm Dachser is strengthening its network for food transport and storage in Europe with the acquisition of Brummer, the partner in the European Food Network for the transport of temperature-controlled food between Germany, Austria, and neighboring countries.

Dachser will buy Brummer Logistik GmbH in Germany and Brummer Logistic Solutions GmbH & Co KG in Austria in a purchase encompassing the entire operational business of the Brummer Group.

DACHSER strengthens its logistics centre in Bremen

DACHSER has spent over US$8.5 million to expand the handling area of its logistics centre in Bremen, Germany to prepare the facility for potential growth in the future.

The floor space is now around 3,300 m²and the extension building for the European Logistics business line now offers more space for handling industrial and consumer goods, according to the company.
