Bollinger Shipyards LLC, Lockport, La., has delivered the 154’x25′ Fast Response Cutter (FRC) Robert Goldman to the U.S. Coast Guard in Key West, Fla. It is the 165th vessel Bollinger has delivered to the U.S. Coast Guard over a 35-year period and the 42nd FRC delivered under the current program. The Robert Goldman is the second of six cutters destined for overseas operations in Manama, Bahrain.

Austal USA delivers the future LCS 26 to Navy

Austal USA delivered its fourth ship of 2020 to the U.S. Navy earlier this month — the future Mobile, the 13th Independence-variant littoral combat ship (LCS). Mobile (LCS 26) is one of 16 ships Austal has delivered to the Navy over the last five years.

Each aluminum trimaran LCS has a displacement of 3,200 MT, a 15.1′ draft and is powered by a pair of 12,200-hp MTU 20V8000 diesel engines and two 29,500-hp GE LM2500 gas turbines.

Nichols Brothers delivers first of two new ferries to Kitsap Transit

In December 2018, Kitsap Transit, Bremerton, Wash, ordered two new 140’x37’x12′, 250-passenger aluminum vessels from Nichols Brothers Boat Builders (NBBB). These vessels, which will also carry 26 bicycles, will provide expedient commuter services to downtown Seattle from both Kingston, Wash. and a planned Southworth, Wash. route.

Conrad Shipyard, Morgan City, La., has delivered two 30,000 bbl. asphalt barges to Parker Towing, Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Belle Chasse, La., based C&C Marine and Repair has delivered to Hines Furlong Line Inc. the 170’x50′ towboat Scarlett Rose Furlong, the first in a three-boat series that C&C Marine and Repair is building for the Nashville, Tenn. based company.

MetalCraft Marine delivers high-performance patrol RIBs to Mississippi

MetalCraft Marine has just delivered two of its 34′ high-performance Patrol RIBs to the Mississippi Department of Natural Resources Police. The two boats will be used in the coastal bay areas and offshore checking on commercial and sport fishing compliance.
