Platform operators Portbase and RheinPorts have launched a ground-breaking project in a joint initiative to digitally connect the maritime and inland port communities.

The two parties aim to optimise the flow of data between the seaports in the Netherlands and the inland ports on the Rhine. The Port of Rotterdam, duisport and Port of Switzerland are supporting this project as shareholders and act as ambassadors.

Samskip, duisport and TX Logistik to jointly operate logport III terminal in Duisburg

Samskip, duisport and TX Logistik AG will jointly operate the CT terminal at logport III in Duisburg-Hohenbudberg in the future.

In particular, for this purpose, the three partners have founded the new company “Ziel Terminal GmbH”, in which Samskip will hold 49.8% of the shares, while duisport and TX Logistik each will hold 25.1%, respectively.

New member on executive board of Port of Duisburg

Lars Nennhaus has been a new member of the executive board of Duisburger Hafen AG since 1 January 2023.

The qualified industrial engineer will replace Prof. Thomas Schlipköther, who left the German port’s executive board at the end of 2022 when he reached retirement age.

Nennhaus started his career at the Port of Hamburg, and he has already worked for duisport from 2011 to 2018 as managing director of port & logistics development.

Port of Amsterdam and duisport partner on energy transition projects

Port of Amsterdam and duisport will jointly develop their hydrogen value chain and their hinterland network, expanding cooperation.

duisport Group reports significant increases in earnings amid slight container growth

The duisport Group has announced that in the 2021 financial year the Port of Duisburg’s container turnover rose slightly by 2% to around 4.3 million TEU.

Port of Duisburg ceases all business activity in Belarus

Port of Duisburg has announced the cessation of all business activity in Belarus with immediate effect due to the support of the Ukraine war by Belarus.
