Ørsted’s new Houston office will include support for P2X projects

Ørsted today announced the official opening of a new office in downtown Houston. This new space will expand Ørsted’s presence in Texas, where it owns and operates eight clean energy projects collectively producing 2.4 GW of electricity, with an additional 1.2 GW of solar projects under construction. Many of the new office’s approximately 30 full-time employees will support Ørsted’s growing Power-to-X (P2X) business, which will be concentrated along the Gulf Coast of Texas.

Deltamarin awarded design contract for new Airbus ships

Turku, Finland, headquartered Deltamarin has been selected to design the three wind assisted RO/RO vessels that France’s Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA) will operate under a charter from Airbus. Maersk inks deal with Goldwind for 500,000 tonnes of green methanol a year

With 12 large methanol dual-fueled ships on order, A.P. Moller Maersk has reached a long-term green methanol offtake agreement with Chinese developer Goldwind covering annual volumes of 500,000 tonnes of the fuel.

Airbus opts for e-methanol and rotor sails for new transatlantic trio

Looking to reduce its carbon footprint, Airbus is to renew it entire fleet of vessels chartered in from France’s Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA) to transport aircraft subassemblies between Saint-Nazaire, France, and its single-aisle aircraft final assembly line in Mobile, Ala.
