In August, Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) announced plans to purchase and convert 20 passenger Airbus 330s to lease to its express delivery operators. Germany-based aerospace manufacturer EFW won the contract and will begin those conversions in July 2023.

US aerospace firm adds production line for A321 freighter conversions

The U.S. subsidiary of Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. (HAECO) said it will convert Airbus A321 passenger aircraft into freighters under license to 321 Precision Conversions, which has designed the retrofit kit and received regulatory approval for the structural modifications.

Titan Airways to operate world’s second A321 converted freighter

Titan Airways last week received the first of three Airbus A321 converted passenger freighters ordered from an Airbus engineering affiliate. The U.K. charter airline is the second carrier to add the aircraft to its fleet since the plane began initial production last fall.

ST Engineering in Singapore carried out the modification. The aircraft was previously operated by Thomas Cook Airlines, which went under last year, according to Titan’s website.
