Viewpoint: Living proof of COVID vaccine’s death-defying power

I’m grateful to be back at my desk after a more than monthlong battle with COVID. I’m a statistic now — one of the unlucky few fully vaccinated people who wound up in the ICU.

My husband and I together went to a FEMA-run site in Jacksonville, Florida, where we live, and obtained the Pfizer vaccine as soon as we were eligible, receiving the first dose in late March and the second in early April.

Over the next few months, our lives returned to “normal.” (One could argue that there is nothing...

Hello, FreightWaves Community,

As many of you know, the Future of Freight Festival (F3) was on track to be our biggest and most awesome in-person event ever. However, after careful consideration and input from...

Viewpoint: Tips for selling at in-person events — when they reappear

We’re going to assume the in-person conferences and networking events we used to know will, in the near future, be possible again. In fact, we should all be encouraged by the news announced by FreightWaves last week about F3: The Future of Freight Festival, being held IN PERSON in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Nov. 8-10.

Despite the limitations of video and live streams, the virtual events of 2020 have been fair substitutes for in-person events, and many of those available have been worth attending....

FreightWaves bringing F3: Future of Freight Festival to Chattanooga in November

FreightWaves in-person events quickly became known for their trendsetting experiences since their launch in 2018, but the COVID pandemic forced a change in 2020. While the company switched to virtual events last year, the same on-site experience was missing.

It won’t be later this year. FreightWaves will open the doors to an in-person event with F3: Future of Freight Festival.

FreightWaves will be bringing the F3: Future of Freight Festival to its home city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Nov....
