ICS Launches New Flag State Performance Table

The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has published the latest Flag State Performance Table (2020/2021) which finds that many of the largest flag states – including the Marshall Islands, Hong Kong (China), Singapore as well as the Bahamas and Cyprus– continue to perform to an exceptionally high standard, with traditional flags and open registers performing equally well, reads a press release by ICS.

Panama to de-list more vessels that violate sanctions

Amid an ongoing diplomatic tension globally, Panama said it will withdraw its flag from vessels that violate sanctions and international legislation, the Panama Maritime Authority told Reuters. Paris MoU publishes performance list for 2018, 1 flag added to White List

The Paris MoU Committee approved the 2018 inspection results and adopted new performance lists for flags and Recognized Organizations (ROs). Isle of Man: PSC figures in 2018

The Isle of Man Ship Registry issued its annual report, presenting data provided by the Registry’s Port State Control (PSC) activity throughout 2018. The report noted a total of nine detentions of Isle of Man vessels during 2018.

IMO to adopt new approach over STCW White List process

IMO agreed to re-approach its listing process regarding the STCW Convention’s White List.
