Sohar Port and Freezone has signed an agreement with Marsa Liquefied Natural Gas, a joint venture between Total E&P Oman Development and OQ, which is considered a significant milestone in the development of an LNG liquefaction plant in the port estate. Sohar Port and Freezone and TFG Marine recently signed an MoU to establish an international bunker fuel supply operation within the Omani deep-sea port.

DP World develops edible oil terminal in Berbera

DP World has started the development of a new edible oil terminal at the Port of Berbera in Somaliland. The terminal will initially have a storage capacity of 18,000 tonnes, which will be expanded as demand grows.

Sohar Port highlights 2022 achievements
