Fremantle Ports to invest in Victoria Quay improvements

To better public amenities on Victoria Quay (Australia) over the next two years, Fremantle Ports will spend US$5,32 million.

The funds will contribute to improving the shade, seats, and public spaces in the cultural heritage grounds.

Fremantle Ports moves a quarter of its boxes by rail in March

Fremantle port workers to strike for 24 hours

Fremantle Inner Harbour workers will undertake 24 hours of legally protected industrial action from 10 am (local time) on 25 June, preventing vessels from docking at the Patrick and DP World container terminals.

Container terminal tender process moves to negotiation stage

The tender for new leases to operate container terminals at the Port of Fremantle has been narrowed to the current two operators, DP World and Patrick, with the process to now move to the negotiation stage.

The existing leases, which were awarded in 1997, are set to expire in June this year. Due to a range of circumstances, one of which was the potential sale of Fremantle Ports by the previous Liberal National Government, it had not been possible to progress the granting of new leases.
