Gas leak results to at least five dead at Karachi port

According to local media, an unknown poisonous gas leaked from a container at port Karachi in Pakistan, killing at least five people, while about 70 others fainted.

Specifically, Deputy Inspector General of Police Of South Karachi Sharjeel Kharal reported to local media that the gas leaked when workers were unloading a chemical loaded container from a ship docked at the Kemari area of the Karachi port.

Fire erupts at Iranian South Pars gas platform

Fire took place at the SPD9 platform, in the South Pars gas field, on June 12. About 14 people were working at the platform the moment of the fire, but not casualties were reported. The fire has now been contained.

Aasta Hansteen field is shut due to investigations of gas leak

The production of Equinor’s Aasta Hasteen gas field continues being out of operation as the Norwegian authorities and Equinor investigate the cause of a gas leak, which occurred on the field the previous week.
