Gaussin provides Bolloré Ports CIT with new equipment

The French technology company Gaussin has started the delivery of 36 APM 75T Hot Environment (HE) electric tractors, 24 Powerpacks LMP and six charging stations to equip Bolloré Ports’ Côte d’Ivoire Terminal (CIT) in the Port of Abidjan.

This order, which represents a turnover of US$10.8 million and is scheduled for full delivery in the first half of the current year, is the largest since the launch of the APM 75T HE, a 100% electric tractor designed to transport containers in ports.

Gaussin to test the first hydrogen-powered tractor

The transport and logistics engineering company Gaussin will partner with Terminal du Grand Ouest (TGO) in France to test the first hydrogen-powered heavy handling tractor.

The full-scale tests will take place at TGO’s Montoir container terminal in spring 2022, according to the engineering company.

The Gaussin “APM H2 75T” is able to tow 75 tonnes of goods with a power of 230kW and is the first on the national territory having a performance of consuming about 10 kilos of hydrogen per day.

Gaussin and Aramco join forces for hydrogen vehicles

The energy and chemicals company Aramco, and Gaussin, a logistics provider, have started a partnership in the hydrogen vehicles business.
