Emerge adds carrier scorecard to RFP product

Procurement platform Emerge on Thursday launched an instrument within its Dynamic RFP product to assist shippers with choosing the most suitable carriers to transport their freight.

The carrier scorecards feature combines Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration records on safety and out-of-service orders with data from Emerge’s marketplace to provide its users with grades for pickup, delivery and tracking history and an overall scaled performance grade from zero to 100%.

Ramsdell joins Emerge as chief operating officer

Scottsdale, Arizona-based digital freight procurement platform Emerge named Cameron Ramsdell its chief operating officer Monday morning. Ramsdell, who joins Chief Executive Officer Andrew Leto and President George Abernathy on the company’s executive team, said he plans to focus on the capacity side of Emerge’s marketplace.

Industry veteran McEntire joins Emerge’s quest to reinvent procurement

Procurement and logistics platform Emerge announced Tuesday it has named supply chain veteran Mark McEntire as the company’s senior vice president of operations.

McEntire has more than 35 years of industry experience, working as a fleet and project manager at J.B. Hunt Transport, followed by over 10 years as general manager of trucking leasing company Penske Logistics and then various executive positions during 17 years at Transplace.
