Denmark presents measures to combat piracy

Denmark announced the upcoming priorities regarding the fight against piracy and other criminal activity at sea. The priorities contain civil and military efforts against piracy. The geographical focus remains in Western Africa and the Horn of Africa.

Ghana starts construction of LNG import project

Ghana’s LNG import project has started construction, as two vessels were contracted to store and regasify the fuel by 2020. The LNG terminal will have the capability of importing 2 mtpa, leaving 0.3 mtpa of supplies for further negotiations.

Ghana: Exemptions from CTN numbers

The Commissioner General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Emmanuel Kofi Nti, has disclosed that, CTN numbers on imports would only be required from importers whose imports exceed Thirty-Six TEUs per year from the country of exports.

That means importers who import less than 36 TEUs per year would be exempted from CTN compliance.
