THE Alliance publishes its 2021 service network

THE Alliance, which consists of Hapag-Lloyd, Yang Ming, Ocean Network Express (ONE) and HMM, has announced its updated service network for the next year, which aims to provide increased capacity on trade lanes with inflated demand.

THE Alliance updates 2020 Middle East service network

THE Alliance, a shipping alliance of Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), Ocean Network Express (ONE), and Yang Ming, today (24 February) announce updated details of 2020 Service Network, focusing on Asia-Middle East trade-lane.

HMM flags coronavirus concerns after loss for fifth straight year

Hyundai Merchant Marine said that the economic fallout resulting from the novel coronavirus outbreak could affect trade volumes, as the South Korean flagship carrier announced a net loss of US$511.83 million (KRW591.67 billion) for 2019.

HMM to launch world’s largest vessels in April

According to BusinessKorea, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) will introduce the largest container vessels of the world in April. These mega-ships will be deployed on the company’s Asia-Europe services.

HMM will put into operation a total of 12 24,000-TEU super large vessels, one per week, staring this April, the Busan New Port Terminal said on Jan. 12.
