The first major overhaul of regulations governing U.S. container trades since 1998 was easily approved by Congress on Monday and President Biden is expected to sign the bill into law shortly.

DOT opens probe into container, chassis shortages

CIEM chassis begin rollout at new Virginia plant

CIE Manufacturing (CIEM) this week has started rolling out the first container chassis from its new manufacturing plant at Emporia, Virginia.

DCLI expands chassis fleet in US Gulf region

Direct ChassisLink (DCLI) said it has recently added 1,000 new chassis to its proprietary pool in the U.S. Gulf region.

Truckers seek $1.8B from ocean carriers for alleged chassis overcharges

The American trucking industry has filed a cease-and-desist request with the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) over what it says are ocean container carriers distorting the cost of chassis usage.
