AD Ports takes on projects in Jordan and Iraq

Following the recent signing of an outline agreement, AD Ports Group is to work with the Aqaba Development Corporation to establish a state-of-the-art cruise terminal at Marsa Zayed in Aqaba. It will be the first port facility to be developed by the Abu Dhabi group in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its first cruise facility outside of the United Arab Emirates.

The new terminal is expected to serve as a regional gateway that will receive cruise ships passengers visiting the Red Sea region....

Investment helps Aqaba terminal to sustain growth

Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) achieved a highly creditable set of results in 2020, handling 857,000 TEU, 7 per cent up on the year before. In particular, the terminal witnessed an 11 per cent increase in the number of fully loaded export containers, while the number of transit containers increased by 41 per cent compared to 2019.

Last year ACT purchased new two reach stackers and two empty handlers and plans to continue its investment plan for modernising machinery and equipment during 2021....
