Seaspan Adds 2 Emission Reduction Vessels on Long-term Charters

Seaspan Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Atlas Corp., has entered into an agreement to acquire two young, high-quality 15,000 TEU scrubber-fitted containerships on a long-term charter with a long-standing global liner customer, reads the company press release.

Oil & Scrubbers Picks Up Again

Bank of Communications Financial Leasing (BoComm) added to the recent orders for newbuild mega-boxships by placing its own order for four 24,000 TEU capacity vessels, says an article published in Ship & Bunker.

Norwegian owner Ocean Yield has announced the sale of its 2018-built 39,800 dwt handy bulker, reports Splash247.

Vessel under long term charter 

The vessel, La Loirais, has been employed on a long-term charter to Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, who declared an option to sell the vessel to an unnamed third party.

Ocean Yield will receive proceeds of $16.2m and record a small book profit from the sale.
