LPG leakage reported at Mongstad facilities

According to Equinor an LPG leakage took place at one of the Mongstad facilities, on 10 December. The unit with the leak was shut down, while depressurizing operations were conducted.

LPG, Propylene loaded onto the same vessel for the first time

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced, on December 11, that the company has safely loaded, for the first time, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Propylene onto the same vessel, which was docked in Ruwais, in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

By successfully loading around 12,600 metric tons of Propylene and 33,000 metric tons of LPG onto a single vessel, freight rates were significantly reduced.

Normally, LPG and Propylene, which is produced by ADNOC, are transported separately.

Equinor, GPS eye new LPG terminal in Port Klang, Malaysia

Norwegian oil major Equinor and Singapore-based Global Petro Storage (GPS) have entered into a long-term agreement for a terminal and storage for LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) volumes in Port Klang in Malaysia. Stepping up the LPG activity in South-East Asia

Equinor and Global Petro Storage (GPS) have entered into a long-term agreement for a terminal and storage for LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) volumes in Port Klang in Malaysia. GPS will build a new facility to execute this agreement with the startup of operations planned for mid-2021.
