A U.S. panel tasked with enforcing labor provisions of the United States-Mexico-Canada free trade agreement has asked the government of Mexico to investigate whether cargo airline Mas has denied the right of pilots to organize for bargaining purposes.

An Airbus A330-200 jet fully converted to cargo configuration will arrive in Mexico City within days as MasAir Cargo Airline begins to realize its ambitious expansion plan under new ownership structure and management.

The Mexican carrier, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021, operates three Boeing 767-300 freighters. By the summer the medium widebody fleet will more than double with the expected arrival of three more A330s.

The leasing arm of Air Transport Services Group (NASDAQ: ATSG) is having a record year delivering newly converted Boeing 767-300 freighters to all-cargo carriers such as UPS, Amerijet and Cargojet Airways in Canada.

MasAir Cargo Airlines is operating a new air service for DHL Express from Los Angeles to Mexico six times per week, providing faster connection times for Asian exports originating in Hong Kong.
